The Kairos Social Ambassador research project was developed as a part of the Democracy and Power Innovation Fund cohort in order to understand and deploy the most effective strategies and practices that membership-based groups use to identify and develop online leaders and influencers; deliver content and values-based messaging frameworks; and to aid in shifting local and state narrative environments on issues and elections over the long-term. Work by state-based groups has shown that community leaders with online followings, in alignment with power-building organizations, can use shared narrative frameworks to meaningfully influence local and state policy and elections. These groups identify, train, and equip members, leaders, and local influencers to act as trusted messengers as part of broader strategic aims. Research done with LUCHA and ISAIAH.
