This is the first report-out of a two-stage research project conducted by the P3 Lab at Johns Hopkins University. The goals of the project are to:

  • Lay out a vision and analysis of the integrated work underway to build a movement architecture for multiracial and class conscious governing power; and
  • Provide an empirical analysis of this work currently underway in DPI grantees' states

In so doing, this multi-year study seeks to answer the following core question: What movement scaffolding (organizational structures and strategies) are required to help turn the values of racial justice and solidarity into political and institutional power? This first report-out focuses on a landscape analysis and the scaffolding, while the second phase will focus more on power outcomes.
