In 2021 we supported a collaborative report  led by Kirk Norden and Heather McMahon Calhoun at Community Building Strategies working with Midwest organizers and donors to lay out state and regional strategies to build progressive, multiracial power in the region. This report advanced a data-informed strategy for the Midwest that unpacks the implications of demographic trends in the region and attacks myths including that a singular focus on White voters is sufficient to achieve progressive outcomes.
